Default Update on my one legged Grey

Last November I joined to tell about my Bilko's loss of leg due to a Raccoon. I just want to update you on his status. He has amazingly acclimated himself to his new situation. He scoots around his cage basically using his beak as a leg. His vocabulary has returned, and in fact it appears he learns new speech even more quickly.

We are very proud of him and consider him poster child for the ability of African Grey's to adapt and thrive no matter what the circumstances. To Bilko, the glass is always half full.
