Default help please

hello my name is sarah, i got my new grey 3 days ago his name is alfie he is 3 months old, when can i start to let him out the cage? i am worried as he is a bit flappy and hasnt been clipped i was going to take him to be clipped at the week end is he to young though? and also i cannot get him to step up on my hand he just nibbles me then flaps about any ideas? thank you

Sorry, don't have experience with baby AGs, as all mine were adult when the came here. Who told you not to let him out, and why?
I dont see why you cant let him out, as far as being clumsy, I hear a lot of baby AGs are.
Where are you located, and where did you get him? A good breeder will usually be able to answer all your questions.

hello and thanks for responding, i am in the uk nottinghamshire, and no ones said i cant let him out, its just i dont no how long he needs to settle in? to get used to his surroundings and us, he is very shy as well and i dont want to hurt him putting him back in his cage as he wont come on my hand or a perch. thanks

he needs a bit more to settle in. They need to learn how to step up.
his nibbling is because he doesnt have hands to hold on with. he is testing what is being put infront of him to see if its stable.
I would go work with him in your bedroom on the bed. get him used to the up and down command in there.
I wouldnt clip just yet. He needs to balance himself and thats what he is learning to do.

you will physically have to pick him up and take him there.
open his cage door and when he comes out to explore, you should be able to handle him to take him in there to show him your hand is not scary
