Default Look what I bought

If you pull up this website and look at their hanging play gyms I bought Slater the Centurium. They look really neat. Their website is www.parrotplayworld.com.

Has anyone bought one of their hanging play gyms and do you like them? How well does the catcher work?

I actually contacted them when i first opened to see if they wanted to have some in the store. however if memory serves me, they were the distributor and not the manufacturer.I could be wrong. I could be having a brain fart. let me know how they like it! looks nice!

I bought the big one that converts from a stand to a tabletop and also a swing from the ceiling. It's called the Rhodesian Elm Tree. I bought it on through ebay for $155 with free shipping instead of directly from their site because I saved a bunch of $$$ that way. I ordered it a week ago. She is a distributor so she has to wait 10 days to get it from the manufacturer and then she will send it to me. I will let you know what I think of it as soon as I get it. I hope it is what I was wanting. : )

Nice! I saw mine on ebay too but the difference was only 6 bucks so I didn't worry about it. Yes, I'd like to know what you think and if your fid(s) like it. I should be getting mine hopefully this week and will report back.

Curious to see how yours turned out- mine is not what I was expecting. The whole tree with stand is a few inches short of 4 feet. The auction listing says it is 4'6" tall. The tree stand looks very neat in theory however the perches are so small that my CAG's feet wrap all the way around the perch and in some places his toes even overlap. He is very unsteady up there because he has to hang on so tightly and is swaying to keep his balance. I spoke with the company about this and they say that the perches are smaller because the birds are supposed to hang from it more often than perch from it....well, the perches are so small that the weight of my CAG makes them flex and bend and this shouldn't be happening. Every time he steps around it the perch vibrates and flings around. It's a mess.
I put my Quaker parrots on there and it is perfect for them. It doesnt flex under their weight and it a comfortable size for them.

Too bad I wanted it for the Grey and not the Quakers-
the lady wont take it back for a refund or exchange so I guess I'm stuck with it.

Sorry to hear that Melanie.
I'm glad you were able to use it for your Quaker.
I can see where it would be unstable for a grey. they like stability.
i've found my guys LOVE their java trees and boings.

Default I received the playgym - what do you think

I received the playgym on New Year's Eve. I had it hanging along side Slater's cage until about a week ago. Here is a video of him on his new gym and a couple pictures. He really likes it a lot.

How old is he? I wonder if it has something to do with his age...my biggest concern was the little perches and his feet wrapping all the way around them but it looks like your birds feed wrap around it all the way too and he is very steady on it.

I guess I'll just have to give it more time.

Slater is 8 months old. He was a little unstead at first but he seems to have gotten used to it.
