Default New cage...

Hello again

My little friend is in need of a new bigger cage, as the one i have now is quite small. So i got him a bigger one. I didn't have many options as my town is quite a small one and there are not many pet-shops. The issue though is not the cage. When i first got Mitsos, he didn't have any toys in his cage. I tried to put some, but he is afraid of them, doesn't go close to them and screams all the time. I was thinking of putting some in this new bigger cage, so that he is going to think that they come with the new cage... You think that this could work for me?? If not how can i make him play with toys

Once again sorry for the mistakes i might have English is not my mother language but believe me i try my best

hi. He's going to be a bit hesitant with the new cage so I wouldnt overwhelm him toys as well. when introducing him to toys, have them out somewhere in the room where he can see them. Move them a bit closer each day. eventually to near the cage. Play with them yourself.
many greys react this way if they arent sure what the toys are. Its a slow process but he should adjust with time.

Hi again

Cage changed all went pretty well... After 3 hours trying to convince our little friend to move to his new cage, we managed to make him jump over to my fiances' arm, and after he walked a bit behind her head and to the other arm, he finally moved to the new cage. I only put one colorfull toy in the new cage, which he doesn't even go close to. Hopefully one day he will... He has got all the space he needs now. Latter on today I am going to upload some pictures so that you can see him in his new home. He is not feeling too good with this change of environment, but I bet he is going to be just fine in a couple of days

I look forward to seeing the pics. If you sence he is real nervous with the one toy, remove it and put it outside the cage for him to get used to.
