Default Pro's and Con's on carriers

With many people looking for a way to transport their parrots and many types on the market what do you like or dislike about a carrier you purchased.

The ones that I like and use have the wire on the side of the carrier so they can look out and see whats going on The ones I had and won't buy again are the ones that have the plastic on the side to look out of My B/G macaw chewed a hole in the plastic while we were waiting for the vet and by the time i got home it was big enough to almost get her head out of but it was the sharp edges that made me throw it out

I think I may have had every carrier out there through the years. Each has its pro's and cons. I like the wingabego, but dont like the handle or the complete acrylic case. Kings has a nice one, but its not really large enough for a congo. Clearly Exotics had a nice one, but again, all acrylic, not enough ventilation. Cat carriers, like Rick said, can be chewed through. Avian Adventures has a nice smaller travel cage type carrier, however its cumbersom to carry. Same with the aluminum cages. They are nice if you have one bird, and you need something overnight as well. Crystal Shuttle is nice, again, all acrylic and the handle isnt the best.

Packobird type thingies, i have not used.

I've enjoyed my Celltei pak-o-bird. I got the one that is meant for airline use with a divider. I was able to put the parakeets and Ziggy in it during a last minute cross country trip. It was a little tight, but the birds were not stressed out and it was nice to be able to roll down the panels and make it look like a duffle bag. Now with Oscar, I'll probably get another one so Ziggy can be by himself with the three smaller birds together. The only con I can think of is, Ziggy has chewed on the screening and the divider. It's not too bad because I caught him, but I am not sure how bad the damage would have been.
