Default New CAG

Hi all,

We just got a baby CAG yesterday he/she is 9weeks old. The baby its very healthy eating alot...he is not weaned yet. The breeder told us to give the baby cheerios so he can get use to eating already. The breeder has the baby CAG on Zupreem food, but we got him exact food my questions is , is it okay to switch food or continue to feed him the food the breeder gave us? Also this might sound stupid but can i give him plain water or is the baby getting enough water when he gets the formula? Please advise. Thank you so much.

he should have a small-shallow bowl of water and food to play around with at all times. He will learn to drink by stickin his head in there just out of curiosity. You may not witness him drinking, but this is something the breeder should already have been doing.
I feed zupreem as well. Tho I mix it in with other foods, seeds and pellets.
Once thing you have to be careful with is the colored pellets and greys. They can have hypogycemic reactions from the dyes. I suggest to keep him on Zupreem, and add others in.....

We are still waiting on the DNA results if its a girl it will be Ruby and if its a boy I want to name it Monty.....for now we are calling him "baby chick"..pollito in spanish......lol

PS. How do i post pix? Do i go thru photobucket and copy and paste? The baby loves to be held -last night it was the first night it slept on its cage...we have been sleeping with him....LMBO..i know! but we can't help it.

Before he goes to sleeps he mumbles a lot as if he wants to talk already..i think he will be an early talker...i can't wait.

thank all for your wishes and Lisa thank you for your help!

He sounds great. They are so cuddly when they are little like that. Bing isn't so much so now but still as sweet. Posting pictures should work exactly as you wrote. I cut and paste the IMG file from photobucket.

Keep us posted. I can't wait to see the pictures.
