Look at the ends of the feathers to You can tell if the are plucked or just moulted out.

If the heavy feathering has subsided between say oct and now, it could be moulting, not plucking. If he was plucking, it would have continued throughout all the months...what have you noticed...

also whats this about lee?

The feathers I found were small feathers...

As far as behavior, Calypso is acting fine and loving. I just worry so much about her feather-plucking. She looks like a plucked chicken! (But I still LOVE HER TO BITS).

Did you continue Caly on harrisons. i don't want to sound like an ambassador for it but it worked for me ( see thread - diet - harrisons page 3).

I would also recommend a daylight bird lamp and lots of attention, especially at first.

Sorry not that rich! But i can't argue with the results i have seen with my ownn eyes. I'm sure there are other foods as good out there and like i said the lamp has also made improvements, something which had never been mentioned to us before.

I got a bag of Power Treats today and fed some to my Greenwing and he devoured them in about five minutes. I have done everything to keep him from over preening/plucking and for 11.00 it is worth a try. If this works I will have to send you a cyber hug.

I just wrote to Harrison's to see if I could get a sample of those for my crew. Then if they like it I can order some. I like the fact that it has the Red Palm fruit in it.

My Amazon who only eats Harrisions threw the Power treats out of the cage and you would have thought I tried to poison him.
