What would be included in "Pet Care Expenses"? Does that mean food as well as vet trips? THAT would be awesome!!

I got a letter and having a hard time posting it here from my Bird Club and in short it says
For "domesticated" animals so our exotics (parrots & softbills) won't qualify anyway. and that you need a identifier number for each pet such as microchip or tattoo for the IRS. For those who claim their dogs or cats it might come down you can only claim them if they are spayed or neutered so if your a hobby breeder you might not be able to claim them. As of October 31 from what I understand this has not been voted on yet. The next thing to think about...........Do we want the Government to know what we have in our homes for pets? JMHO How much is it going to save on our taxes, probably another $50 or $100 dollars on our taxes. Again this is what I have read and who knows what will be "back door" added just before the vote.
