Hi, was just wondering if anyone had any good hints or tips on how to get my african grey to eat his fruit and veg?
I've tried giving them in different sizes, shredding and even whole but he just wont entertain it. He's on a mixed quality seed and Exact rainbow pellet diet at the moment. Thanks. |

well, lol, the key is to keep trying...I fed my grey eggs every sunday for almost 7 years before he decided to try them. You can imagine how many I threw out!!!!
Sweet potatos sugar snap peas corn peas bananas apples( seeds are poisionous) grape(seedless) tend to be favorites. watch the 'rainbow" colored pellets. they can cause hypogycemic reactions in some greys. Natural is better. pm me for more info.

Our experience has been that our Grey likes to eat (or at least try) what
we eat. So if you want to them to eat something, put it on your plate and then let them eat off it. Don't forget to don your raingear ![]() |
