So I was snuggling up to Cosmo this afternoon and I noticed he kind of had bad breath. I have never noticed this before and was wondering if any of you have smelled an odor coming from your birds mouth and if this is common. It kind of smelled sour- really hard to explain.

The only thing I can think of is an infection. Generally, if an animal doesn't ingest something that is smelly (like a dog can eat something and the breath as well as the coat smells), it's because of some sort of infection. They don't have gums like we do, so you can definitely rule out gingivitis, but I'd think about going to see the vet.
