Default Got distracted last post..heres what I ment

We had to put down our beautiful 4 year old lab cross in november...very tragic. We have 2 greys and now 2 new little rescue puppies. Heres the long and short of my storey. The little rescue pups have been here several weeks and we are having an awful time training them to use outdoors as there toilet. I am asthmatic and can tollerate the bird dander but not having my home smell like a dog kennel. What sort of cleaners are there to get rid of dog urine both oder and wet that wont be harmful to my greys. I have tried a steam cleanuing with just hot water but it didnt seem to help. Anyone have any advise..and no...the birds and puppies both stay...

Having raised two German Shepherd Dogs I found out years ago that using white vinegar on puppy pee works great......the acid in the vinegar breaks down the enzymes in the urine and gets rid of the odor(puppies are also less likely to us this spot again because of the smell) and this is also a safe method for us that have companion birds. I also use diluted vinegar to clean my cage.

When my wife and I got married she had a Yorkie (he has gone on to live in a nice house in CO with a friend of hers) and he urinated EVERYWHERE, including on our bed. I bought a Bissell SpotBot and the pet stain remover works wonders, including on dried bird poo.
